Lapidary, the fascinating world of gems, rocks and minerals.

In our classes we teach and instruct on all aspects of grinding, polishing, cabbing, cutting cabochon, faceting, carving of bones, shells, stones, jewellery making, gold and silver casting, stone and gem tumbling, wire wrapping, pearl threading etc.

On our field trips we fossick for agates, chalcedony, thunder eggs, jasper, petrified wood, sapphires, opal, rhodonite, garnets, labradorite, fossils and minerals.

Do you know how to recognise? We can assist. Most field trips are for one or two days and in some years we have 10 to 20 day field trips.
